We recently built a 6 x 4 pool for two very happy homeowners in Pimpama on the Gold Coast. When the homeowners initially designed the pool they had every intention of maximising their yard to ensure it was still functional. They designed a concrete pool that created both a backyard oasis of their own, whilst also catering for their family relaxation needs. Contacting Cozy Pools & Spas who are an experienced concrete pool builder in Pimpama, the owners dream came to a reality.
Excavation of the pool
The excavation of the pool was interesting as the access into the backyard was extremely limited. However, Cozy Pools & Spas managed to get a 1.5t excavator and bobcat through the side of the property. Whilst it is more cost effective to have a larger machine, the homeowner was adamant in having their pool, so we made it happen. All up the dig took 1 full day and was ready for steel fixing and concrete the following day.
Equipment

- 1 x Cartridge filter
- 1 x Chlorinator
- 1 x Pool Pump
Interior
The interior of this pool is pebblecrete with a finish of 80% White and 20% Black. In addition to the pebblecrete interior the homeowners went with a 150mm waterline tile, and black step edge tiles. The final coping and surround tile chosen was a grey granite.
Water Feature
The water feature has two different heights to help make it stand out and maintain a sense of uniqueness. Finished with a stack stone tile to the front and the coping tile edge around the side and top. The sheer decent where the water comes out of has the ability to increase or decrease the flow rate using a valve on the filtration equipment.
