In fact, we recently built a concrete swimming pool in Oxenford on the Gold Coast measuring in at 12 x 4. With this project we installed Top of the range Astral pool equipment and utilised Spa electrics lighting to really show case the pool. Also included in the project was concrete and decking surrounds, retained garden walls, driveway, artificial grass around the pool. To the front of the property we completed the driveway, decking at front door, and turfed grass area.
Pool Equipment
Chlorinator & Pump
Utilising the best of what Astral have to offer we installed the Astral Equilibrium Chlorinator with pH and chlorine sensors and Connect Blue. The sensors help minimise or eliminate the change in water balance. This in itself dramatically reduces the need to manual test your water. The chlorinator also controls the attached P500 pool allowing for maximum energy savings by controlling the speed through it’s AI mode.
Solar Pool Heating
This pool is also fully equipped with Solar Pool heating provided by Sunbather. This customer will now have the added benefit of an extended swim season utilising the energy efficiency of solar.
Robotic Pool Cleaner
This pool has one of the latest robotic pool cleaners, the Evolution Evoclear EX3.The Evoclear EX3 pool cleaner is super-efficient at cleaning the floor and walls. The easy operation allows you to set the cleaning schedule and forget about it for a whole week.
Tiling & Interior
The chosen tile for this pool was a 600 x 400 Platinum Tumbled coping tile which the customer chose from Slate & Stone along with their waterline tile, step edge tile, water feature tile, and swim line tile. The colours work well together in providing a nice flow from the waterline of the pool to exterior coping.
The interior of the pool is a 1-2mm smooth pebblecrete with a blend of 80% white and 20% black. Below this article you will see photos to show how this pool looks under full sunlight with the 80/20 blend.
Fencing
The choice of fencing for this customer was frameless glass panels and glass gate as depicted in the pictures. The frameless glass still maintains the safety requirements required by law without impacting on the view.
Surrounds
As a leading Oxenford pool builder we wanted to allow the customer to think beyond their imagination in creating a hassle free backyard oasis. As such we complete the surrounds of the pool and property so the customer only had to engage with Cozy Pools for all of their needs. Our team of experts completed the below;
- Timber decking to the front entrance of the house,
- Artificial grass in the backyard,
- Preparation and laying of turf in the front yard,
- Completion of fond driveway,
- Concrete pathways to either side of the house,
- Levelling and retaining of the entire backyard to create prefabricated concrete retaining walls for garden beds, and
- Timber stairs from pool area to rear of property. Whilst not only visually appealing it also acts as a means to walk through and around retained garden.
